A town stay of universal value

Have you ever considered the advantages of a town stay for your holiday? Old Corfu Town has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Centre status for its outstanding universal value. Also named “Little Venice” after its larger and world famous cousin, Corfu Town can provide an inspiring as well as a relaxing holiday experience all year round. Many jet set aficionados prefer to spend their time here close to high standard restaurants and cafes reminiscent of Côte D’Azur and other exclusive get away locations.

Unique ambience all year round

In fact visitors are very often surprised by the unique ambience of Corfu Town having been caught out by the island’s reputation as a summer resort kind of place. The capital of Corfu has the advantage of sharing the same distance between the northern and southern end of the island as well as providing easy access to all locations through its reliable bus service.

Historical value positively palpable

All styles of accommodation are available from studio apartments to bed and breakfast. Of course there are the Corfu town classics that provide the best experience possible. Thanks to a long tradition and as a member of the world famous association “Hotels de Grand Classe Internationale”, the Corfu Palace can justifiably be classed as one of the most elegant and distinguished hotels in Greece. The ambience is certainly grand and its historical value positively palpable.

Will leave even the most discerning visitor feeling satisfied

The four star Cavalieri Hotel was originally a 17th century nobleman’s mansion belonging to the family of Count Flamburiari. The original walls and facade were kept when the Cavalieri was created in 1967. Similarly the three star Bella Venezia Boutique Hotel is housed in a gloriously restored neo-classical mansion.  Originally the building was a19th century residence of one of the island’s “first families” whilst in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, as well as a Lyceum for Corfiot schoolgirls. Neither hotel has a swimming pool but the richness of culture they provide access to will leave even the most discerning visitor feeling satisfied.
