Apraos- Kalamaki Beach
Apraos and Kalamaki is a beautiful beach in the northwest coast of Corfu Island. It is about 5 km from the village of Kassiopi and about 40 km from Corfu Town. Apraos and Kalamaki Beach are being characterized by a Corfiot olive grove that ends in an endless sandy beach. This magical place is ideal for quiet vacations and romantic walks on the beach. When the sun goes down, orange and purple colors that dominate in the sky are in harmony with the blue waters of the Ionian Sea. The long wooden pier standing there for years and it keeps company to the lonely fishermen, to the lovers, and for so many others who want to enjoy the peacefulness of the sea.
Where to swim
The beach is unique for families and young children, because the waters are quite shallow and makes the game fun and safe. In summertime boats from Kassiopi carrying people and organize BBQ, beach games and other events at Kalamaki beach. Also there exist sunbeds and umbrellas.
In a very short distance from the beach there are lovely rooms to rent and luxurious residence with swimming pool, as well small hotels for cheap and quality holidays. Some suggestions are Kalamaki Apartments, and Apraos Bay Hotel.

The area offers traditional Fish taverns which have view to the beach, Some of them are Kalamaki Restaurant, Nicolas Taverna, Dimakos Restaurant and two outdoor beach bars that offering cold beers, coffees and soft drinks. On the main road is a shop that sells handmade olive wood carvings in big variety and many designs.
